According to the head of the airport official, the renovated Terminal 1 will significantly help in increasing the capacity of the airport and improve the overall service quality for passengers. It is also a milestone for the region, as it is incorporating the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan into the modern experience of traveling.
Terminal 1 capacity has been increased to accommodate 1.5 million passengers every year. Immigration procedures have also become smoother with the availability of about 10 counters for departure and 14 for arrival. About 100 security personnel are available to ensure security in the terminal, but CISF and airport security are also available to complement the security personnel to avoid any mishap and thus ensure a safe and efficient process for all the passengers.
