Jaipur Airport Terminal 1 to Inaugurate for International Flights on October 27

According to the head of the airport official, the renovated Terminal 1 will significantly help in increasing the capacity of the airport and improve the overall service quality for passengers. It is also a milestone for the region, as it is incorporating the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan into the modern experience of traveling.

Terminal 1 capacity has been increased to accommodate 1.5 million passengers every year. Immigration procedures have also become smoother with the availability of about 10 counters for departure and 14 for arrival. About 100 security personnel are available to ensure security in the terminal, but CISF and airport security are also available to complement the security personnel to avoid any mishap and thus ensure a safe and efficient process for all the passengers.
 

Etihad Airways is among the first flights to touch down in Terminal 1. The first flight to utilize Terminal 1 will be an Etihad Airways service from Abu Dhabi, scheduled to arrive at 2:10 am on October 27, marking the terminal’s readiness to welcome international passengers. Located in the Sanganer area, Jaipur Airport ranks as India’s 13th busiest airport by daily scheduled flights, underscoring its vital role in the national aviation network and in promoting tourism in Rajasthan.

One example of the commitment to improve passenger amenities and services at Jaipur Airport is the renovation project initiated in December 2017. It will not only ensure passengers have a comfortable journey but also boost the tourism sector in Rajasthan as regional connectivity improves.
