Nagaland Tourism Hosts 3rd Autumn Festival showcasing Naga Culture and Crafts in Delhi, check Date & Time

In association with the Office of the Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, the third edition of Autumn Festival is being organized by Nagaland Tourism, assisted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The festival would be held from 18 to 20 October and would grace the lawns of Nagaland House, New Delhi. For the first time, the people of Delhi will feel the real ethos of the hornbill festival of Nagaland.

A Glimmering Celebration

This year, with the success of the previous two years, Tourism Department is reviving Autumn Festival with much more enthusiasm but this time for three days. The festival will act as a preview for the main Hornbill Festival, and those who can't make it to Nagaland can still see a glimpse of the excitement. Also, those coming next in December will get an insight into what to expect from the major festival.

Exclusive and Public Days

The festing day-October 18 is exclusively invitation only. October 19th and 20th are public days that would present an opportunity for everyone in experiencing the fervent cultures of Nagaland

Honorable Minister of Tourism and Higher Education Shri Temjen Imna Along, Government of Nagaland, expressed his emotions about the festival. He said, The 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival is all set to come at Nagaland, but before the grand event we want to offer an experience for people who can't come in Nagaland by the Autumn Festival. At the same time, we would like to make the experience better for all those who come to attend the festival. This way, they'll have an idea of what to expect from the festival. The festival makes friends and will bring people into a cultural sense of familiarity. Since Delhi is a capital and set apart in matters of culture, it is the perfect place for this festival.
 

The Autumn Festival organized by Nagaland Tourism is a three-day celebration that brings the vibrant culture, traditions, and arts of Nagaland to New Delhi. Here's what visitors can expect in the event: 
Naga Cuisines : a delectable selection of authentic and varied local cuisines.
Handicrafts and Textiles : a replete opportunity to see-weaving and craft demonstrations by local artisans, who could thus enlighten the visitor with insight into the traditional way.
Art and Music : a blend of contemporary forms with traditional art forms and musical performances.
Local Brands and Exhibitors: Runway India, Ukrii Crafts, Kintem, and Mongken through the Department of Under Developed Areas would participate alongside Women Folk by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission. 

This is the 25th edition of Hornbill Festival, which originated way back in the year 2000. The Autumn Festival will certainly be a great inspiration for planning a visit to Nagaland this December.
