Air India is moving fast on improving its inflight products on key international routes, particularly the US and Europe. This is a strategic move by the airline of the Tata group to attract premium business customers who so far have preferred Emirates or Qatar Airways due to their superior standards of service. Raising luxury and comfort level, it plans to make a mark in the premium list of travelers.

Aviation News : Upgrades to First and Business Class Facilities

This modernization will see, besides a premium cabin integrated with a more advanced business class on Air India's new A350 aircraft, support to a new highest tier of passengers in terms of an in-flight experience. The airline will at the same time enhance its cabins for its A320 narrow body aircraft on short-haul and long-haul flights with the aim of having a more similar comfort level everywhere.

By the end of 2025, Air India plans to add more value to customer experience by opening elite lounges at critical international hubs including Delhi and Mumbai, Dubai and London, New York and San Francisco, for premium customers. The lounges will be commissioned as stress-free environments enabling passengers to sit back, dine and get work done before flight, with an intent of being a global luxury carrier.

Customer Feedback and Future Plans

"We have been talking about the Air India transformation and took a lot of initiatives, but with our new product, people are now able to feel it. We have received good reviews from our customers, and they feel that it is the sign of a new Air India which will be ready in the next two years," said Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India.
