Tamta highlighted that environmental clearance is currently underway for a 52-kilometer-long ring road around Dehradun. The construction of multiple bypasses, including the Rishikesh bypass from Nepali Farm, will provide significant relief for pilgrims traveling to Garhwal, Kumaon, and Chardham. Major obstacles have also been resolved for other bypasses across the state, helping decongest city centers and allowing smoother passage for locals and tourists alike.
Efforts are also underway to improve connectivity through key routes such as the Kund-Guptkashi bypass, the Kathgodam-Nainital double-lane road, and the double-lane route from Jyolikot to Garhwal via Ranikhet. Other roads, including Ramnagar to Ranikhet up to Charchung and Jauljibi, are also being prioritized for improvements.
