Noida Airport Set for Final Trials as Second Operational Phase Begins November 15

If all goes right, the Noida International Airport (NIA) will probably witness the first commercial flights landing by April 17, 2025. The day of its opening is projected to see 30 flights at its gates, with 25 domestic, three international, and two cargo flights in the first wave. 

According to the plans, three international routes from Jewar will be Zurich, Singapore, and Dubai, adding global connectivity to the region as well. The domestic destination will cover major cities like Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Dehradun; the final itinerary of domestic destination is yet to be decided.

We have planned for the operation of 30 flights initially; this will include domestic, international, and cargo services, Singh said. The Director General of Civil Aviation has ratified our calibrations of flights after reviewing a number of reports on runway conditions and wind speed. We have thus far successfully completed the first stage of operations at this airport.
Memorandums of Understanding have been signed with Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa to make Noida International Airport a global hub. Singh said more airline partnerships were in the pipeline to increase reach to more international and domestic destinations.
 

In its efforts to establish itself as a global aviation hub, NIA has secured Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading airlines, including Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa. The airport is actively working on additional partnerships to expand its connectivity. These collaborations are anticipated to enhance air travel options, promote economic growth in western Uttar Pradesh, and alleviate congestion at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The airport aims to provide seamless travel experiences, boost regional economic development, and strengthen India's global connectivity.
