Uttar Pradesh government to launch online vehicle booking,

The new e-vehicle system, which will go live on December 15, has been designed just like other ride-hailing platforms such as Ola and Uber. This will enable visitors to avail transport services at key locations such as railway stations, bus stands, airports, and hotels, and that too at fixed fare services. This plan's aim is to make local travel easy for individuals and support the state's initiatives towards environmental preservation and sustainability.

The "Pink Taxi" service is one of the initiative's highlights. According to reports, these taxis will be operated by female drivers exclusively, thus ensuring safety and comfort for female passengers. Spearheaded by Uttar Pradesh startup Comfy E Mobility, the fleet will start with around 300 e-rickshaws covering regions like Prayagraj and Kumbh Mela. These environment-friendly automobiles will carry all additional facilities including GPS, completely closed, and also fare system in transparent and clear.
 

To ensure smooth handling, all drivers will be inducted into customer service behavior, with special emphasis put on communication skills. Trained to use Google Voice Assistance proficiently, they would quickly overcome any language barrier, thus ensuring a smooth experience by devotees from all nooks and corners of India, as well as from elsewhere in the world.
By 2025, more than 45 crore will be attending the Mahakumbh. The system will play a crucial role in making sure the pilgrim is having a smooth journey. Apart from e-rickshaws and e-autos, more than 7,000 buses and 3,000 trains from the Uttar Pradesh government would also be deployed to counter the tourist rush

E-vehicles is a good fit with the government's Green Mahakumbh, an initiative that attempts to cut down on air pollution and encourage a cleaner, more sustainable environment.
Referring to this initiative, Manu Gupta, founder of Comfy E Mobility, added that this will offer a safe, convenient, and environmentally friendly transportation service for all those, domestic and international, devotees who will be visiting this region to be a part of this mela. Officials also added that this project will help in providing employment opportunities while promoting environmental conservation.
