Ayodhya to Host Grand Deepotsav Celebration from October 28 to 31 with 25 Lakh Diyas and Cultural Events

In a grand and spectacular exhibition of devotion and festivity, more than 25 lakh diya will enlighten different ghats of the city including Ram Ki Paidi and Naya Ghat.

This time 25 lakh diyas will be lit in Ayodhya, which will be a world record in itself. It is known that last year 22 lakh 23 thousand diyas were lit at different ghats in Ramnagari. This time also volunteers will be deployed to light these lamps. The most special thing this time is that all the diyas will be made from cow dung. Ayodhya Municipal Corporation is helping in making the diyas. These diyas are being made with the help of the cowshed run by the Municipal Corporation.

Something stunning in the visual spectacular is expected to adorn the cities of Ayodhya this time, with modern lighting and artistic installations to give a completely new coat of color to the city. Celebrations will boast intelligent dynamic color-changing LED panels and multimedia projections all over Ayodhya, inside as well as outside main venues.

Theme-based Lighted Arc Pillar gates designed will be a welcome for the passengers at Ram Ki Paidi and Naya Ghat. Important routes, through which Bhakti Path passes, are adorned with beautiful lighting and floral decorations.

Gonda bridge to be illuminated on the route connecting Ayodhya to Gonda and Basti bridge, which is to be illuminated in the route from Ayodhya to Basti, are part of it.
The entire Ayodhya Dham, which includes all the major temples, will be aesthetically decorated with special artistic beauty and lighting in the forefront. More than 500 important sites within the city would have colorful signage boards, and 20 artistic installations will be done around Ayodhya to create a proper festive feel at the Deepotsav festival.

Cultural programs will be performed in two shifts daily, and the prime event will last for 45 minutes. More than 100 artists will perform at Ram Ki Paidi and other key venues, bringing to life various episodes of Lord Shri Ram's life.

The main programme will feature a laser show, multi-media projections, and a choreographed firecracker. An eco-friendly firecracker show will illuminate the sky above Ayodhya for over 10 minutes to make it vibrant and full of light.

In a unique blend of tradition and technology, the Deepotsav will also introduce a virtual reality platform that offers immersive experiences of Ayodhya's sacred sites. "Under the virtual reality platform, pilgrims and visitors will get a picture of prominent locations such as Shri ram janm Bhumi Temple, Hanuman Garhi Temple, Nageshwar Nath Temple, Ram Ki Paidi and many others," the statement said.
