Uttar Pradesh Tourism Launches QR Code Audio Tours at Taj Mahal and Iconic Heritage Sites

The audio tours will vary in their duration that may take from 1 minute to 15 minutes to enable visitors to move at their desired pace. All the platform will be able to use mobile-friendly, and get audio guides on their smartphones and tablets. This makes tourists enjoy a more interactive and richer experience as they get unique stories behind every heritage site.
 

The QR Code-based Audio Tour will allow visitors to access immersive audio content by simply scanning a unique QR code at over 100 key tourist locations across the state . 

Some of the most relevant sites where QR code-based audio guides will be introduced are as follows:

Taj Mahal
Kashi Vishwanath Temple
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi
Fatehpur Sikri
Hazratganj and Bara Imambara in Lucknow

All these sites will present the tourist with a rich experience. They will receive supporting information and historical background so that their visit has better meaning.
Regional and International Languages

It will provide audio content in both English and Hindi initially, and further be expanded to include regional and international languages as part of service addition. This expansion will bring Uttar Pradesh Tourism's rich history and culture to a global audience for the visitors around the world.

 

Already, the state has witnessed a very high turnaround of tourism, particularly Ayodhya, with new Ram Janmabhoomi Temple construction from January to June this year over 11.5 crore visitors arrived in Ayodhya alone, contributing to a total of 33.5 crore tourists across the state as the primary attraction. 
The department feels this trend will carry on with the addition of new audio tours systems within this state.

 

Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, This QR Code-based Audio Tour Portal will help establish Uttar Pradesh as the tourism destination leader in India, which will undergo modern technology to traditional heritage, providing a visitor experience that not only honors the past but also embraces the future.
The portal is designed to perform an important function in the state becoming more attractive to visitors, and each visit turn out to be more interactive and informative.
